Samantha graduated from Salford University with a Bsc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy in 1999. Her first post was at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. During her 6yrs there she worked in the various fields of Physiotherapy including Orthopaedics, Respiratory, Intensive Care, Neurology, Surgical & Medical wards including the rehabilitation of amputee patients and she also worked in the National Spinal Injuries Unit treating patients with spinal cord injuries before specializing in the field of musculoskeletal injuries as a senior clinician.
Samantha then returned home to Swansea, South Wales where she worked for NHS Wales for the next 8yrs in the musculoskeletal outpatients department treating both acute and chronic conditions. In addition to treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions Samantha’s role also included that of Clinical Supervisor to junior staff and physiotherapy students. She was also involved in Health promotion in the community and was responsible for organising and implementing “Back Fitness” classes for patients with acute and chronic Low Back Pain.
Samantha has attended numerous post graduate musculoskeletal courses including The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine cervical & upper limb and Lumbar spine & lower limb, Pilates mat work with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) and is also trained in Acupuncture and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Samantha is also a qualified practitioner of Cosmetic Acupuncture for Facial Rejuvenation
Additionally Samantha has a BA(Hons) degree in Sports science from Cardiff University.
In her spare time Samantha enjoys travelling to far flung destinations and working out to Insanity, Body Pump, Kettlebells, Boxing, Ropics & swimming and has represented Wales at cross country and track & field athletics.
Samantha relocated to Shropshire in November 2013 and joined the team at SB Sports Injury & Physiotherapy Clinic in June 2014.
